NOBLESVILLE — A Noblesville hotel and a Cicero business were highlighted Sunday night during CBS’s second season premiere of “Undercover Boss.”

The show focuses on a company owner or senior executive working undercover in his or her own company to investigate how the company works and identify how it can be improved, also rewarding staff.

Steve Joyce, president and chief executive officer for Marilyn-based Choice Hotels, went undercover, and visited the chain’s Noblesville Cambria Suites, 13500 Tegler Drive, near Hamilton Town Center. Joyce spent time with the hotel’s sales director John Corbin, who was to gauge Joyce’s sales skills.

Corbin also escorted Joyce to visit business partner Bold Core Response, a Cicero-based structural drying company owned by Kurt Bolden, 49, Cicero. The company’s training center, which has classes nearly every week, supports the Noblesville hotel industry.

Bolden’s Hydro Lab is one of the largest high-tech training centers in the nation for water restoration, structural drying and mold remediation, Bolden said.

Bolden’s staff joined the staff of Cambria Suites on Sunday night at the hotel for a special viewing party to watch the show and celebrate the broadcast.

“It was a blast,” the 1979 Noblesville High School graduate said today. “(It was) kinda weird to see yourself on TV.”

Also, Choice Hotels exec Brandalyn Buis showed Joyce the ropes on the front desk as night clerk at Comfort Suites Northeast, an Indianapolis property of Choice. Buis was also invited to join the viewing party at Cambria Sunday night.
